Dear Twister Families, As you may have heard, the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) has recently taken steps to revoke USA Gymnastics' (USAG) recognition as the national governing body for the sport of gymnastics. The USOC believes that "the challenges facing the organization are simply more than it is capable of overcoming in its current form," and at Twisters we agree and believe a fresh start is necessary. Twisters Has Record-Setting Weekend at Level 9/10 Regional Championships!
Dedication. Perseverance. Strength. Hard Work. Team Work. Once again, Twisters is beyond proud to announce that our Level 9’s and 10’s had a record-setting weekend at the Region 8 Championships. Twister of the Month – April – Alexandra Greenwald
The recent shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland hit way too close to home for Twisters. Many of our students, including our Team girls, currently attend MSD and knew the victims. One of our Level 10 Team gymnasts, Alexandra Greenwald, lost one of her closest friends, Nicholas Dworet, in the shooting. Nick’s brother, Alex, was also shot and survived. Though facing heartbreak no high school senior should have to endure, Alexandra turned her grief into action and organized a meal train for Nick’s family to help support them in their darkest hour.
