Twister Spotlight: Gymnast Harley Shafer Qualifies for Level 7 Regionals Championships

This month we celebrate Harley Shafer, a Level 7 gymnast from Boca Twisters! Harley, 12 years old, has literally been with us since she was in the womb, while her brother Hunter, also a competitive gymnast, was doing Mommy and Me classes with mother Amy!

Harley has worked extremely hard this season, her first as a Level 7, and her hard work has paid off, as she qualified to attend regionals in Chattanooga, Tennessee at the end of April. Her All Around score at the State Championship was a 36.575!

Harley trains 16 ½ hours per week and her work ethic acts as inspiration to the other members of our girls team. Head Coach Heather Zayac says Harley always comes in with a positive attitude and is a good role model for the younger athletes.

Harley is also an excellent student at Don Estridge High Tech Middle School, where she is in 7th grade, and taking classes for high school credit.

We are so proud of Harley for her hard work and dedication to her sport, and we congratulate her on her accomplishments thus far! The Shafer family includes Harley, brother Hunter, mom Amy and dad Matthew. We are so happy to have them as part of our Twister family!
