Twisters Coaches Bring Fun to the Kids Heart Challenge
Twisters is proud to recognize two of our fantastic coaches, Stephanie Mancini and Ashley Kowalski for recently donating their time to help out with the Kids Heart Challenge, Jump Rope for Heart by the American Heart Association.
“This is a fun and exciting event where your student learns about their heart while helping others and raising money for the American Heart Association. The Kids Heart Challenge prepares your child for success through physical and emotional well-being.” - American Heart Association
Last month, Stephanie and Ashley visited Boca Raton Elementary School and had lots of fun leading the kids in jump rope exercises. Through this exciting event, Boca Raton Elementary school was able to raise funds towards helping other kids with special hearts.
“Through Kids Heart Challenge, kids learn jump rope skills, how their heart works and raise money to help kids with special hearts. Have fun, learn how to stay healthy and make a difference in the lives of others!” - American Heart Association
Stephanie Mancini has been a member of the Twisters family since 2007 as the Birthday Party Program Leader and a Recreational coach. She attended school at PBSC where she earned her Child Development Associate Credential. She is married to husband, Tod, and they share three children; Tod Jr (9), Troy (5) and Marina (2). "I love working at Twisters because it is very fulfilling and just plain fun! I love the sport of gymnastics and teaching children, so for me it is the best place to be. I started gymnastics when I was only 2 years old and never stopped. One of my favorite parts about working at Twisters is being able to see the children grow and knowing that I was an important part of their development. Making a difference in their lives and getting to witness it is just wonderful."
Ashley Kowalski has been a preschool coach, recreational coach and birthday party director since 2016. She took classes at Twisters when she was young and later became the captain of her cheerleading team for 4 years at Pope John Paul High School. After high school she coached the team for 2 years. She is currently a nursing student at Atlantic Technical College in Ft Lauderdale and transitioning to her full-time career in the health field. Ashley loves when kids learn a new skill. She loves being able to teach life skills and incorporate it into gymnastics.
Twisters and our coaches are dedicated to bettering the lives of kids not only in our gym, but in our community as well. We’d like to thank Coach Stephanie and Coach Ashley for their hard work, dedication and joy that they spread through their gymnastics instruction and also through their community outreach efforts.
